The neighborhood's history dates back to the mid-1800s, when it was largely farmland, but it developed between 1850 and 1920 as the city expanded eastward. The area was subdivided into residential lots for the growing population, which included German, Swiss, Austrian, and Croatian immigrants.

Deutschtown is a National, State, and Local historic district known for its 19th and early 20th century residential buildings, shops, restaurants, and historic townhomes. The neighborhood also features cultural attractions, including summertime music festivals.

While we are not able to accept pets, we do have a trusted pet sitter whom we can recommend so that you have someone to take care of your furry family member while you enjoy your stay.
